AFS Holds Host Family Appreciation Dinner

AFS Intercultural Programs held a host family appreciation dinner for the two students attending Simley and Henry Sibley High Schools.

AFS Intercultural Programs held a host family appreciation dinner for the two students attending Simley and Henry Sibley High Schools.

Tharaluck from Thailand has been a member of the Alich Family and a student at Simley High School this year. Tharaluck has enjoyed participating in classes and activities that aren't available at her school in Thailand. She is a member of the choir, loves the art classes, and is excited to be a member of the track and field team.

Francesca from Italy has been part of the Strojny Family and a student at Henry Sibley. Francesca loves the school community and wished her school in Verona, Italy offered such a variety of classes and sports. Francesca joined the volleyball and ski teams and is now on the track and field team.

Tharaluck and Francesca, along with AFS Volunteers Ed and Diane Bradvolt, thanked the Alich and Strojny families for all the love and support they have offered to make their year in the US unforgettable. Tharaluck and Francesca are sad to leave their family and friends at the end of June but are looking forward to one day coming back for a visit.
