Overview and Background of the Study

For the past year, the City has been conducting a process to update the Concord Boulevard Neighborhood Plan to refine desired land use patterns and identify potential areas for redevelopment activities. In September and October 2011, a number of meetings were held with stakeholders, property owners, business owners and residents of the Concord Boulevard neighborhood, including an open house on Oct. 5. These meetings provided an opportunity for stakeholders to express opinions, desires, concerns and ideas about the future of the neighborhood.

Since that time, we have condensed the input received and begun to formulate concepts that provide a more clear definition to future land use in the corridor and define potential near term development opportunities.

Our next step is to take these concepts back to the community seeking feedback on the land use patterns and ideas expressed through the land use plan and development concept.

Purpose of Briefing

We would like to take this opportunity to gain your feedback and input on the concepts and ideas. We will have presentation boards and handout material available at the meeting that presents ideas and concepts. At the meeting, consultants and staff will be on hand to fully explain the concepts and the rationale behind them and to take input from community members in written or verbal form.

If you should have any questions, please contact Tom Link, Community Development Director at either 651.450.2546 or tlink@invergroveheights.org.
