Importance of Peer Leaders: Understanding the Influence of Friends

This discussion is led by Shannon Bailey, Dakota County Adolescent Health Coordinator.

Research is clear that one of the most effective strategies to prevent youth from taking risks is through peer leadership and mentoring. In this session participants will learn why kids engage in risky behaviors and how to reduce future risk taking. Participants will also learn how boys and girls learn differently and how to effectively keep their attention.
