Relay for Life of the South St. Paul Area will host a Kick-Off Open House from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 21 at Central Square Community Center, 100 7th Ave. N., South St. Paul.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature a speaker and prize drawing at 6:30 p.m.
Relay for Life will also raise cancer awareness through the inaugural Paint Our Towns Purple event in February; local businesses will be “painted” with purple lights and schools will host purple-themed activities and sporting events. Residents of South St. Paul, West St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights are invited to wear purple on Feb. 21.
