21st Annual Summer Activities & Safety Fair

Gain information on upcoming summer actities and ongoing safety issues to keep your children safe.

Children can talk with fire fighters, nurses, police and other specialists. A favorite is the police canine unit who will provide a demonstration. Learn about swimming pool information, library programs, scouting, Community Education, park and recreation programs, nature and garden programs, plus nutrition information and more. Learn about fire, water, boat, pet, car seat and child safety. Explore an ambulance, police car, fire truck, school bus and boat, plus a car from MADD will be on site.  In addition, children can practice emergency procedures in the Fire Safe Escape House, Residential Sprinkler House and have fun in the Fire Safety Hopper with the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department. Several organizations will have registration for summer programs available.

Meet sparky the Fire Dog, Smokey the Bear, Mudonna from the St. Paul Saints, and the American Red Cross Bee Safe Bear.

This event is offered free for parents and their children age birth through sixth grade, as a community service by the Early Childhood Family Education Program of the Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul public schools.
