What: “The Shadow Box” by Michael Christofer, winner of the 1977 Pulitzer Prize,  tells the story of three very different families dealing with a terminal disease. The families are staying in separate cottages on the hospital grounds. There is Agnes and her mother Felicity, estranged by the latter’s dementia; Brian and Beverly, whose marital complications are made worse by Brian’s new lover; and Joe and Maggie, unready for the strain of Joe’s impending death and its effect on their teenager.

What: Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Joseph Gomer will share the remarkable story of the talented and courageous Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American squadron of fighter pilots. The Tuskegee Airmen (seen in the new movie ‘Red Tails’ ) fought the Nazis during World War II. Gomer is one of the few surviving squadron members.
