"A Night in Bethlehem"
When/Where: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church recreates the town of Bethlehem as part of the fourth annual "A Night in Bethlehem." The event, described as a "hands-on Holy Land experience," will include an arts and crafts section, a Bethlehem-themed marketplace, opportunities to grind your own cooking spices and view "ancient artifacts." Dakota Valley Symphony Presents "Amahl and the Night Visitors"
When/Where: 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.
Why Go: The Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus perform a fully staged production of an American classic: "Amahl and the Night Visitors" by Gian Carlo.
Cost: Individual Performance Ticket Prices: Adults, $15; Seniors 55+, $12; Students, $5. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center Box Office, via Ticketmaster by calling 800-982-2787 or through ticktetmaster.com.

Veterans Memorial Community Center Open House
When/Where: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Check out all the great things that have happened at the Community Center! Check out the fitness center, take a class, swim in the water park and join with great membership specials.

Gertens Poinsettia Open House
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Come and see Santa, Mrs. Claus and meet their reindeer as well as enjoy light refreshments. Join Lew Gerten on a greenhouse tour and see where all of Gertens' poinsettias are grown as well as their fresh spring annuals. Or, find a perfect fresh-cut Christmas tree and all the decorations you need to adorn it. Meet Santa's reindeer and go for sled rides, too!

Audio Circus Plays at Jersey's Bar and Grill
When/Where: 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, at Jersey's Bar and Grill in Inver Grove Heights.
Why Go: Listen to the sonic stylings of this hard-rocking five-man cover band. Bands on Audio Circus' setlist include: Korn, Eve 6, Poison, Kings of Leon and AC/DC.
Cost: $6 cover charge
