The Inver Grove Heights School Board met on Monday, April 27, with the following items on the agenda:

District Highlights

• ISD 199 Superintendent Dave Bernhardson presented on the activities of the ISD 199 Student Advisory Council in early March.

Information items

• Hilltop Elementary School Principal Sue Vallafskey gave board members an update on the school’s progress and activities this year. Kindergarten teacher Beth Gruenke talked about Distance Learning from a teacher and a parent perspective, and special education teacher Tracy Zahn talked about supporting students during Distance Learning.
• Superintendent Bernhardson presented the first reading for review of policies.
• ISD 199 Director of Business Services Heather Aune presented the district’s 2020-2021 Budget Update.

The next board work session will be held on Monday, May 11, and the regular board meeting will be held on Monday, May 18, both at 5:30 PM. At this time, board meetings will be conducted remotely. However, community members are invited to watch the virtual meeting live at the ISD 199 District Office, 2990 80th Street East in Inver Grove Heights.
