The Inver Grove Heights School Board met on Monday, April 26, in the Hybrid model with the following items on the agenda:

District Highlights

• ISD 199 Director of Community Education and Health & Safety Coordinator Barb Pierce and ISD 199 Director of Special Services Abel Riodique thanked school nurses for their tireless work during an early celebration of School Nurse Week.

Information items

• Pine Bend Elementary School Principal Quennel Cooper presented an update on the 2020-2021 school year. Pine Bend EL teacher and Garden Club Leader Tricia McCabe and some Pine Bend students also talked about building core life skills in different activities such as Girls on the Run and Garden Club. ISD 199 Director of Special Services, Abel Riodique, also spoke about the district’s CARE/CID Program moving from Hilltop Elementary School to Pine Bend this year.
• TriDistrict Career & College Readiness Initiative Lead Designer and Director of the CAPS Program Ben Kusch presented an update on the CAPS Program. A Simley senior and CAPS Healthcare & Medicine student talked about the program from his perspective.
• ISD 199 Director of Business Services Heather Aune provided a budget update for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
