ISD 199 Celebrates Graduation Rate Increases
The graduation rate for the district increased by nearly 2 percentage points to 90.19% in just one year.
The Minnesota Department of Education released 2019 graduation rate data on March 5, 2020. Statewide, graduation rates increased by .5 percentage points from 83.2 in 2018 to 83.7 in 2019. Inver Grove Heights Schools had even larger gains to celebrate.
The graduation rate for the district increased by nearly 2 percentage points to 90.19% in just one year. While Simley High School’s graduation rate increased by .53 percentage points to 89.96%, Simley’s Alternative Learning Program increased its graduation rate by more than 25 percentage points! The program’s 66.67% graduation rate in 2018 rocketed to 92.31% in 2019. The district also saw large graduation rate gains in the Hispanic, Black, White, Two or More Races, English Learner, Special Education, and Free or Reduced Price Meals student groups.
