Wow, it is hard to believe that the time is drawing near to say farewell to the 2013 Royal Family of the Miss Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program. I have had the pleasure of watching these 6 young ladies grow over the past year into the special, vibrant individuals they are today. It is equally hard to believe that the time is coming to welcome a new family to the Royal list. On Monday, July 29th, the current Royal Family had their exit interviews (both individually and as a group) conducted by none other than Mr. Joe Atkins. There was laughter (and maybe a few tears) as the girls described their year and how special it was to them. This night was also the debut of the 14 young ladies that are vying for the crowns of Miss, Princess, Jr. Miss, Jr. Princess, Little Miss and Little Princess. The excitement (and nervousness) on their faces was something to behold! The judges are going to have their work cut out for them as they choose the next 6 lucky ladies to become ambassadors for Inver Grove Heights. Though this year has been special to me, it is time to get ready to guide the next group of ladies into this world of crowns and Sparkle Sections. Thank you 2013 Royal Family!!
