About 200 students, kindergarten through 5th grade, are working with their Summer Academy class and teacher daily in a Distance Learning format. Students in kindergarten and 1st grade learn from 9:00-10:30 AM and 2nd-5th graders work online with their teacher from 9:00-11:00 AM. The daily routine consists of a Morning Campfire Meeting, Lit Camp Literacy lesson, brain break, and math lesson. This summer, the elementary Summer Academy program saw its highest attendance rate in history of the students who qualified and enrolled in the program. Our dedicated Summer Academy staff consists of 17 Inver Grove Heights Schools educators. Elementary Summer Academy will run through Thursday, August 6.
