Patch Game of The Week: Girls Tennis vs. South St. Paul

Simley faces crosstown rival South St. Paul in a key Classic Suburban Conference match Tuesday.

ON THE LINE
The Spartans face a much-improved South St. Paul squad that returned most of their key players from last season. The Packers recently wrapped up a team trip with their coach to the U.S. Open. Simley is a young team with just four seniors, but has gotten better and better since the start of the season. Head coach Clay Sollenberger said that they like playing the South St. Paul team since the girls know each other so well and enjoy playing their crosstown rivals

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Sydney Short—Simley
The senior is the number one singles player. Sollenberger said that she is much more consistent this year and that her hard work this offseason has really paid off.

Taylor Short—Simley
The sophomore is the number two singles player. Sollenberg feels that Taylor is more consistent this year and has utilized a much-improved first serve to her advantage.
