Hilltop Elementary School Principal Tom Barker was busy grilling hot dogs for hungry students on Friday afternoon. Each year, the school holds an outdoor picnic, for which Barker cooks more than 600 hotdogs. There's no trick to cooking that many hot dogs at once — you just have to grill up as many dogs as fast as you can, Barker said. And while the cooking may be tough, the rewards are sweet — satisfied students shower thank yous and compliments on the principal. "Mr. Barker, your hotdogs are world famous," one Hilltop student said.
