PHOTOS: Kids Come Face-to-Face with Tarantulas, Scorpions and More at Inver Glen Library

Disgust, fascination and curiosity were equally evident in the faces of the more than 30 children as Bruce "The Bug Guy" Giebink pulled Ruby the tarantula out of its cage at Inver Glen Library on Thursday afternoon.

Giebink, an entomologist, was partway through his hour-long presentation on familiar and unfamiliar bugs. As part of the program, audience members were able to touch and hold a number of insects and arachnids, including millipedes, hissing cockroaches and more.
