Richfield took down the Simley High School baseball team 12-2 on Monday, after  costly errors dragged the Spartans down and gave their opponents multiple opportunities to score. The game, at Simley High School, got off to a quick start after both teams scored runs in the first inning. Richfield got the bats going in the third inning, bringing in three runs, and then scored four runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Richfield took advantage of the 10-run rule in the fifth inning to bring the game to an early close.
