Preventing Tooth Decay While Supporting Our Troops
Twin Cities Metro dentists are taking part in a nationwide program to buy back Halloween candy from kids, then donating the treats to care packages for U.S. troops.
Is there so much Halloween candy that your house is starting to smell like a chocolate factory? Perhaps like Hershey, PA?
Are you having nightmares about next year's dental bills, but you'd rather avoid the inevitable confict that will come if you try to throw away all those goodies your kids collected Oct. 31?
Here's an idea: Take the kids, and their candy, to one of the participating dentists paying money in exchange for all that chocolate, then donating the treats to care packages being sent to U.S. troops.
