Sa April 25, 9-11:30 a.m. Celebrate Earth Day - Help Clean Up South Creek!
Come celebrate Earth Day and our environment by making a difference for our local waters and wildlife! Grab your tennis shoes -- or waders!
Help clean up South Creek Saturday, April 25th, 9-11:30 a.m.! This creek feeds the Vermillion River, a cold prairie river flowing through the heart of Dakota County and an important tributary of the Mississippi River.
Volunteers will meet at a local church and will have plenty of cleanup options to choose from. You can pick up trash from the parking lot and other hard surfaces, venture into the lots and grassy areas leading up to South Creek, put on your waterproof boots to pick up litter from the marshy area along the creek, or grab your waders and clean up stream-side!
All supplies (including a few pairs of first-come, first-served waders) will be provided.
