Saint Thomas Academy to Facilitate and Host District 52B Debate
Saint Thomas Academy will host a public debate between District 52B candidates for the State House of Representatives on Sunday, Oct. 5.
The Saint Thomas Academy Advanced Placement government class and the debate team from Saint Thomas Academy and Visitation School will get a live civics lesson when they facilitate a debate between the two candidates vying for the State House of Representatives in District 52B: Incumbent Joe Atkins (DFL) and challenger Don Lee (R). The students will be developing questions for the candidates and will moderate the session. Each candidate will also give brief opening and closing remarks. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about the candidates.
