Season Comes To A Close For Spartans Lacrosse

Simley's lacrosse team went winless in 2011 after a 15-2 loss to Burnsville in Section 3 playoffs.

While the Simley boys and girls golf teams were competing in their Classic Suburban Conference tournaments on Wednesday, the Spartans boys lacrosse squad saw its spring season come to an end.

A 15-2 loss to fourth-seeded Burnsville in the Section 3 Tournament opener on Wednesday ended the 13th seed Simley boys lacrosse team's spring campaign with an 0-12 record. Statistics from the game were not available.

Boys Golf: Simley Third In Conference Tournament
The Simley boys golf team placed third in the Classic Suburban tournament on Wednesday, carding a score of 317 at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood. Zach Alsterlund fired a team-best 76, with Nick Battis turning in a 78; Will Knopik's 80 and Myles Urness' 83 rounded out the Spartans' scoring on the day.

Girls Golf: Simley Second In Classic Suburban Tourney
A score of 414 earned the Simley girls golf team a second-place finish in its Classic Suburban tournament at Phalen Golf Course in St. Paul on Wednesday. Jessica Pate led the Spartans with a 96, followed by Alexis Chau's 114, Madelyn Miller's 116 and Jessica Yang's 117.
