Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows ordered Lake Byllesby closed due to high water levels. According to a Friday statement from the Sheriff's Office: The recent rains have resulted in high water levels at Lake Byllesby in southern Dakota County. For public safety reasons, the boat launch at Lake Byllesby has been closed. No boat traffic is allowed on the lake at this time. The Sheriff's website will be updated when the boat launch reopens to the public and boat traffic is once again permitted.
