Simley High School band supporters satisfied their hunger and their desire for good music at the Inver Grove Heights Band Boosters' annual barbecue benefit and silent auction. Diners at the fundraiser, which was held at the Church of St. Patrick, were serenaded by Simley High School Band musicians while they ate. All proceeds go to support Inver Grove Heights bands and the Inver Grove Heights Best Foundation Scholarship Fund. The menu for the fundraiser dinner included BBQ pulled pork, hot dogs, cole slaw, baked beans, chips, beverages and root beer floats. Many of the Simley musicians will be in action again this Thursday in the solo and ensemble competition.
