Simley Swimmers Take Ninth At Section True Team
The Spartans finished the event with 818.5 points.

The Simley girls swimming and diving team placed ninth overall at the Section 1A True Team meet on Saturday at Northfield Middle School.
The Spartans finished the event with 818.5 points in the 11-team event. Northfield won the meet with 1,833 points, and Mankato West took second at 1,530 points. Both teams advanced to the Class A state meet—Northfield as a section champion and Mankato West as a wild card—and will compete on Thursday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
Simley picked up its top performances from Jordan Sheridan, who placed third in the 500 freestyle, fifth in the 200 freestyle and—along with Anna Groebner, Shauna Shorsch and Brittany Jurrens—helped the 200 freestyle relay take eighth place. Horsch also took 10th in the 100 breaststroke, and Jurrens took sixth in the 100 backstroke.
