South Saint Paul Kaposia Days

 One of my favorite things of being part of the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program is getting to know the candidates from other cities.  I can relate to what they are going through as a candidate in the hopes of being one of the chosen to represent their City. On June 17th I, along with Kassi (Miss Inver Grove Heights), got to know the South Saint Paul Kaposia Days candidates a little bit better through FOOD!  Each of the candidates and the current Royalty made a dish that represents her family’s background. We heard the story behind what they brought and then we all had a chance to try the food. Everything was amazing and yummy!!  After the food was served and formal introductions were made, we had a chance to add their family recipes to our own recipe book through a fundraiser – yep they sold their recipes for a dollar.  This was a very enjoyable and tasty event!!
