Students From Online Public School Have Fun Field Trip
Enrollment underway for the 2016-2017 school year at free online public school. Learn more at online or in-person Information Session.

Students from the K-12 online public school MTS Minnesota Connections Academy and their families, including Inver Grove Heights siblings Colleen (9th grade) and Amber (11th grade) recently volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. The team packed 5,660 meals in under two hours. The entire group of volunteers that morning packed 30,240 meals, which will feed 83 children in the Dominican for a year. The field trip was organized by Connections Academy's student council members. The school's field trips and community events offer students, who attend the tuition-free school from home, the chance to socialize with other students, family members and faculty.
More than 2,000 students across the state are currently served by the school's full-time faculty members, which includes state-certified teachers, school guidance counselors, special education professionals, and administrative staff. “We're proud to offer families a high-quality education option that helps meet the needs of every child," says Melissa Gould, principal at Minnesota Connections Academy. Enrollment for the 2016-17 school year is now underway. Families interested in online education are encouraged to attend a free information session — either online or in-person — to learn more.
