Suspects Rob Inver Grove Heights Resident at Gunpoint
Police say three black males looking for a man who "owed them money" threatened and robbed another.

Inver Grove Heights police are looking for three black males who police say robbed a homeowner at gunpoint last weekend.
One of the men, Inver Grove Heights Police Lt. Larry Stanger said, knocked on the front door of a residence in the 5900 block of Concord Boulevard around 3pm on Saturday, and told a woman at the residence that he was looking for the upstairs tenant. After the woman told the man that the upstairs tenant wasn't available, Stanger said, the suspect left, only to return a short time later.
This time, he pointed a handgun at the woman and forced her back inside, Stanger said. He and two others subsequently robbed the woman and burglarized the house, stealing two cell phones, a video game console valued at $500 and several other smaller items. At one point, Stanger said, the suspects told the woman the upstairs tenant owed them $250.

A short time after the robbery, police received a report that a white vehicle matching the description of the vehicle used in the robbery had rolled through a stoplight. The caller provided officers with a license plate number, which police tracked back to a "person of interest" in the case. The man was taken into custody later Saturday night, but refused to talk to police and was released, Stanger said.
The suspects in the case, Stanger added, could face felony aggravated robbery and burglary charges. Under Minnesota state law, first-degree aggravated robbery is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and $35,000 in fines.
