Three Inver Grove Heights Boy Scouts awarded Scouts highest rank

Michael Ross, Jack Leick and Henry Hark from Inver Grove Heights Troop 501 were awarded the rank of Eagle in a ceremony held June 10th. The three scouts, recent graduates of Simley High school completed the work required before turning 18 years old. To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout Henry, Jack and Michael completed six ranks ending in Eagle, completed 21 required merit badges, and served at least six months in a troop leadership position. In addition, each scout was required to plan, develop and provide leadership to a service project benefiting the community. Each scout was also required to take part in a Scoutmaster conference and successfully complete an Eagle Scout board of review. Over all, only about 5% of boys who join the Boy Scouts earn the rank of Eagle--a very exclusive club.
