VIDEO: Simley Theatre Guild Takes On Oscar Wilde
Patch visited a dress rehearsal for "The Importance of Being Earnest," the Simley Theatre Guild's fall production.
English accents filled the air on Monday night in the auditorium, as members of the Simley Theatre Guild worked their way through a dress rehearsal of the guild's fall production, "The Importance of Being Earnest."
Set in Victorian England and written by Oscar Wilde, the comical play revolves around two English gentlemen who assume false identities in order to escape from dull or burdensome social obligations.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10; 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11; 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12; and 3 p.m on Sunday, Nov. 13. All shows will be held at Simley High School. Premium seating (front and center) is $12, adult ticket prices are $10, senior and student prices are $7 and children 12 and under are $5.
