West St. Paul Days Parade.

On Saturday May 17th (one of the nicest days to be outdoors so far this year), I had the opportunity to take part in the Celebrate West St. Paul Days Parade. This event and festival has to be one of my favorites! The residents along the parade route were extremely friendly and welcoming, and it made my experience so much fun. I also really enjoyed getting a chance to talk to some Aquatennial ambassadors as well as Aurora, Queen of the Snows, King Boreas, and other Winter Carnival ambassadors. I had an opportunity to receive a pin of the family crest of the St. Paul Winter Carnival royal family and Boreas explained what it meant to them. This was a very cool and special moment for me! In addition, I visited with the West St. Paul Royalty and other neighboring royalties that I haven't seen in a while – this is always a lot of fun. Participating in this event makes me even more excited or my own royal family’s upcoming parade season, and participating in other festivals.  I will definitely come back to the Celebrate West St. Paul Days Festival in the future.  I hope this continues to be an event for our program, as it was a blast to be a part of!
