Name: Emma Voit Age: 16 School:  Simley High School Nominator:  Mark Howarth Nominator's Email: <a href="mailto:howarthm@invergrove.k12.mn.us" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">howarthm@invergrove.k12.mn.us</a> Accomplishments:  Emma recently was named "best in site" at the Region 3A Minnesota State High School League Choir Solo Ensemble, held at Simley High School. Key to Awesomeness:  Judges at each of the four sites set up within Simley High School named one singer "best in site," with Emma receiving one of the honors. Emma was accompanied by Mark Howarth, Simley's choir director. Howarth selected an Italian piece that fit Emma's vocal range. Leading up to Regionals, Emma and other Spartan Choir students worked individually with Howarth to fine-tune their piece approximately every other week for 15 minutes at a time. Emma said the experience was a lot of fun!
