The driver of a westbound vehicle crossed the double yellow lines in the 23000 block of County Road 19 in Shorewood about 6:15 pm Tuesday (July 30, 2013), according to Pat McCarthy, Chief 4 and Chief of Training for the Excelsior Fire District. In all, 3 vehicles were involved and had to be transported from the scene. In addition to the Excelsior Fire District Fire/Rescue Team, Paramedics from Hennepin County Medical Center were on the scene as well as the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department. Afternoon traffic was detoured around the scene for 30-40 minutes.
