Founded by Deborah Peteler, AnnapurnaBlue offers transformative wellness retreats and programs designed for individuals navigating life transitions, health challenges, emotional overwhelm, and personal reinvention. With over 30 years of experience in trauma-informed care and holistic wellness practices, Deborah blends ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches to create safe, supportive environments where real healing can take place. Our retreats — held both locally in Minnesota and internationally — are intentionally designed to help participants slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Through gentle Qigong movement, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, mindset sessions, and meaningful group dialogue, participants gain tools to manage stress, navigate change, and build emotional resilience. AnnapurnaBlue is especially supportive of women ages 35–70+ navigating grief, life-altering illness, menopause, empty nesting, career transitions, and other profound shifts. That sentiment, a quote by Frederick Douglass, is the motivation behind an <a href="http://www.newtownkindness.org" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Act of Kindness Contest for Kids</a> that has kicked off in memory of Charlotte Bacon, a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Charlotte's mother, JoAnn, is a native of Orono and graduate of Orono High School. Newtown, Conn., resident Jodie Adolfson contacted <a href="https://www.lakeminnetonka.patch.com" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Lake Minnetonka Patch</a> over the weekend to encourage residents to participate in the contest. Adolfson reached out on behalf of Aaron and Christi Carlson, Newtown, Conn., residents who are running the contest with the Bacon family.  "The contest is simple – all children write, draw or tell their story in any way about their own act of kindness," Adolfson explained. Anyone under the age of 18 can participate. Entries will be accepted through Feb. 21. The winner will be announced on Charlotte's birthday – Feb. 22.
