RAFAELA GALAN is an artist originally from the state of Puebla in Mexico. Involved in art since she was a youth, she has a very personal style: abstract, figurative and modern, with variations of shapes and colors. Nature is leading her to broaden her artistic expressions. She feels the beauty of the woman is a true work of art shaped by the creation of God. She is influenced by personal experiences and everyday life. Rafaela has a degree in Fine Arts and Education from the Institute of Visual Arts in the State of Puebla. She has taught drawing, painting, modeling and sculpture and has participated in over 30 individual and collective exhibitions of paintings in galleries and museums in and outside of Puebla, Tlaxcala, and Mexico. Most recently she exhibited at CCC Gallery in Chaska, and it is now at Excelsior United Methodist Church’s Grace Gallery. Come and enjoy her work and view the exhibit during office hours (9am-1pm M-F) or on Sunday mornings 8:30-noon. Rafaela’s work will be on display at Excelsior United Methodist Church until May 6, 2013.
