Lake Minnetonka 4th of July

4th of July on Lake Minnetonka is a day-long celebration of America, community, and fun! Beginning early in the morning until well past dark, we welcome you to be part of the 2013 4th of July experience on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, at the Commons Park in downtown Excelsior. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a 4th of July that kicks off with a firecracker and ends with a BANG!

Schedule of Events:

8am: 2 mile Firecracker Family Fun Run

8:30am: Firecracker 10K

9-10:30am: Sand Sculpture Contest

9:30-noon: Popsicle Social

11am: Water Street Parade

11:30-1pm: Kids Fishing Contest

6pm: The Wolverines Big Band Performs

7:30-8:15pm: Lucas Oil Air Show

8:20pm: Salute to our Vetrans

8:25pm: Presentation of the Colors

8:30pm: The National Anthem

8:35pm: The Wolverines Big Band returns to the stage

9:55pm: Taps and countdown to Fireworks
