“Witnessing - A Lifestyle” Workshop

Noted author and host of the national radio program Family Shield, Kay L. Meyer, will present the popular “Witnessing - A Lifestyle” Workshop at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 23290 Highway 7, Excelsior, MN on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This unique event will help participants learn basic skills to build relationships with family, friends, and those they meet in the community, and equip them to share the Gospel in a non-threatening, Christ-centered way. Cost to register is $20 per person, or $30 for couples. Registration includes lunch and the seminar. Childcare will be provided upon request. Deadline to register is March 4 by contacting Jerry at 952-474-5181 x223 or jerry.rosamond@oslcs.org.

Open to all faiths, participants will learn basic witnessing skills, including how to listen attentively, share personal testimonies, relate faith to live issues, answer questions, and show concern through actions and words.  The seminar will also focus on how to share seven key points about the law and Gospel including: talking about God, man, sin, Jesus, repentance, faith, and the gift of eternal life.

The seminar includes interaction, small group discussion, as well as lecture. The presentation will touch on the four segments of Meyer’s book, Witnessing—A Lifestyle -- including: Witnessing Basics; Witnessing Begins At Home; Witnessing During Holidays; and Witnessing Through Schools, Congregations, and in the Communities.

A past seminar participant shared, "I have always been reluctant to talk about my faith, but after attending Kay Meyer’s seminar, I was able to share my faith with my neighbor. Thank you for giving me the ability and skills to share Christ with my family and friends!"
