Filing Opens Aug. 2 for Wayzata School Board Spots
Four positions are up for grabs this election season.

Filing for four spots on the Wayzata School Board opens Tuesday, Aug. 2, for this year’s general elections.
Filing ends at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. The general election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 8. The four spots are each a four-year term.
The Wayzata School Board members whose terms expire this year include Board Chair Patricia Gleason, Vice Chair Carter Peterson, Treasurer Jay Hesby and Board Clerk Linda Cohen.

Candidate filing information packets and affidavits of candidacy are available from the office of the School District Clerk, at 210 County Rd. 101 N. in Wayzata. The filing fee for this office is $2.
A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more when assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from for 30 days before the general election and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office during the same primary or general election.

The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the filing fee paid prior to 5 p.m. Aug. 16.
