FREE Electronics Recycling Collection in Mound: Shirley Hills Elementary School 4th Grade Class Fundraiser
On Saturday, November 2, the Shirley Hills Elementary School 4th Grade Class will partner with Tech Dump, an electronics recycling nonprofit, to collect unwanted electronics (gently used, obsolete, or damaged) from 9am-1pm as a fundraiser.
Bring computers, cell phones, electrical cords, internal/external drives, other misc. electronic accessories, TVs, and monitors ($10-donation requested for CRT TVs and monitors—non-flat panels). Tech Dump will destroy all information and data at their facility in Golden Valley. Tech Dump is a Minnesota and Hennepin County licensed electronics recycler.
To find out more and for a list of accepted items, visit their website at techdump.org/shirleyhills.
The event will be held from 9am-1pm in the parking lot at 5293 Shoreline Drive, in Mound.
The class decided to host a Tech Dump event as they were “looking for a creative way to fundraise—and this seemed like a great way to earn funds to offset the cost for the Wolf Ridge trip. Students travel to the Wolf Ridge environment learning center in Northern Minnesota.”
