In Photos: Orono Lacrosse Weathers Late Surge By Mound

Catherine Fraser, one of Minnesota's top rising lacrosse stars, scores four

The Orono girls lacrosse team snuck past rival Mound-Westonka on Friday, winning an 8-7 decision at home.

Spartans eighth-grader Catherine Fraser led the way, scoring four goals in the game. Teammate Shea Noerenberg had two goals and two assists, Eloise Hrusovsky had a goal and an assist and Kacie Limesand had a goal.

Orono (2-0, 1-0 WCC) will next play St. Cloud Area Tuesday at home. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. The White Hawks’ (0-1, 0-1) next matchup is Tuesday at home against Holy Family Catholic. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
