AnnapurnaBlue Health &amp; Wellness: A Sanctuary for Renewal AnnapurnaBlue Health &amp; Wellness was created from a simple yet powerful belief: that true healing happens when we care for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Founded by Deborah Peteler, AnnapurnaBlue offers transformative wellness retreats and programs designed for individuals navigating life transitions, health challenges, emotional overwhelm, and personal reinvention. With over 30 years of experience in trauma-informed care and holistic wellness practices, Deborah blends ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches to create safe, supportive environments where real healing can take place. Our retreats — held both locally in Minnesota and internationally — are intentionally designed to help participants slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Through gentle Qigong movement, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, mindset sessions, and meaningful group dialogue, participants gain tools to manage stress, navigate change, and build emotional resilience. AnnapurnaBlue is especially supportive of women ages 35–70+ navigating grief, life-altering illness, menopause, empty nesting, career transitions, and other profound shifts. We believe these seasons of life are not endings — they are powerful invitations to rise. Our programs are inclusive, nurturing, and deeply respectful of each individual’s journey. Many participants leave feeling restored, empowered, and connected — not only to themselves, but to a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Twelve students from Wayzata High School have been named 2011 Minnesota Scholars of Distinction. This years Scholars of Distinction from W.H.S. are seniors: <ul> <li>Ishmam Ahmed – dual awards – Scholar of Distinction in Math and Science</li> <li>Evan Chen – Scholar of Distinction in Science</li> <li>Anna Hashizume – Scholar in Theater Arts</li> <li>Duligur Ibeling – Scholar of Distinction in Science</li> <li>Naveen Jain – Scholar in Science</li> <li>Haley Kurr – Meritorious in Theater Arts</li> <li>Partha Naidu – Scholar in Science</li> <li>Dan Piering – Scholar in Theater Arts</li> <li>Alec Spencer – Meritorious in Science</li> <li>Bo Sun – Scholar in Science</li> <li>Lawrence Wang – Scholar in Science</li> <li>Jeff Zhang – Meritorious in Science</li> </ul> Minnesota Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius honored 43 high school students from Minnesota for their achievement in the Minnesota Scholars of Distinction program, which encourages high school students to perform at highly rigorous levels in five specific academic areas and rewards their depth of knowledge and skill in application. The program was developed by the Minnesota Department of Education through a partnership with professionals and educators with expertise in each specialty area.
