Mound Westonka Grad Shines on College Soccer Field
Bri Clark and the Augsburg College soccer team are streaking into the postseason.

Augsburg College women's soccer forward Bri Clark, a 2009 graduate of Mound Westonka High School, was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week.
Clark scored two goals in two key conference victories during earlier this month, helping to keep the Auggies in the race for a spot in the four-team MIAC postseason playoffs.
In Augsburg's 2-1 win over St. Olaf last Tuesday, Clark scored Augsburg's first goal—a header off a corner kick just 2:28 into the contest. The Oles had entered the game leading the conference standings and suffered their first conference loss of the season against the Auggies.
Against Gustavus on Saturday, Oct. 15, Clark scored the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 Augsburg win, shooting the ball to the upper right corner of the goal from 15 yards out in the 24th minute.
Since earning the MIAC's weekly honor, she also had the lone goal in Augsburg's 1-0 victory over St. Catherine on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Clark now has team-highs of 10 goals and 23 points, tied for second-most among MIAC players (overall statistics) in goals and second-most in points. Her 49 shots this season are third-most among MIAC players.
Augsburg, now 8-6-1 overall and 5-2-1 in MIAC play, have three games remaining in the regular season—at Hamline on Saturday, Oct. 22, against Concordia-Moorhead at Augsburg on Wednesday, Oct. 26 and at St. Mary's this Saturday, Oct. 29.
The Auggies currently stand in a tie for fourth place in the MIAC standings with 16 league points (three points for a win, one point for a tie). The top four teams qualify for the MIAC's postseason playoffs.
