Wayzata High School seniors Michael Zweber and Amanda Kordovsky were chosen as the 2011 Homecoming king and queen at coronation Sept. 26 in the high school auditorium.
The auditorium was full of students, family and community members as the Homecoming royalty walked onto the stage and then the king and queen were announced.
Homecoming is a week long event with activities throughout the week.

Monday, Sept. 26
Theme Day- “Come as you are” (aka – PJ day)
Coronation-7 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 27
Theme Day-“Crayon Day” (Dress as a solid color, head to toe)
Wednesday, Sept. 28
Theme Day-“Preppy Day”
Thursday, Sept. 29
Theme Day-“80”s Day”
Friday, Sept. 30
Theme Day-“Trojan Spirit Day”
Pepfest is 1:30 p.m. and the parade is 4 p.m.
Football game is 7 p.m. against Minnetonka. Faculty appreciation night.
Saturday, Oct. 1
Third Annual Alumni/Community Homecoming Breakfast is 9-11 a.m. in Culinary Express. Tickets are available at the door for $5.
Homecoming semi-formal dance is 8 to 11 p.m. in the WHS Gym.
(Note on dance: shoes will not be allowed in the gym so wear socks and be ready to check your shoes at the door. If you didn't buy your tickets beforehand they cost $12 at the door and a picture ID is required. Random breathalyzers will be administered. The dance is for WHS students only. No guests will be allowed.)
