NAME: Ellen Stowe                 

SCHOOL: Wayzata High School

What sports do you play during the year?

Just swimming, that's it.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up and why?

I always looked up to Natalie Coughlin, because she was a backstroker just like me. She was so fast and won a lot of medals at the Olympics. I remember watching her on TV and thinking that I wanted to be just like her when I got older.

How would you describe yourself in three words or less?

Responsible, enthusiastic, and resolute.

What is your favorite movie?

27 Dresses

Do you have a favorite sports memory that sticks out to you?

I have two:

1.  When I was ten years old, I broke the YMCA state record in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 31.68.

2.  When Wayzata won True Team State last year!

What’s an item you’d like to check off your bucket list in the next year?

To participate in a triathalon.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?

Tahiti, because I loved my vacation to Hawaii and I imagine Tahiti to be even better!

What are your plans next year (going to college? majoring in? playing sports?)

I plan on attending the University of Minnesota, participating in club swim, and am currently undecided in my major.
