What Sports do you play during the year?  

I play basketball and throw shot put and discus in track.  

Who was your favorite athlete growing up and why?  

Growing up I think I looked up to Janelle McCarvell,  She played the same position that I did when I was younger and I thought she was a great player.  I loved how she would always set the screens and the girls would act like they are hitting a wall.   Today I look up to Blake Griffin because he made himself the player he is today. He proved with work, dedication and heart you can do anything.  

How would you describe yourself in three words or less?  

Tall, Athletic, Caring  

What is your favorite movie?  

That’s a tough one because I have many favorites. Probably all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies or The Hangover.  

Do you have a favorite sports memory that sticks out to you?  

My favorite sports memory would have to be the first game I played after coming back a serious illness when I was told I could never play sports again. I beat the one in a million odds.  An embarrassing story would be when I was in 5th grade and went to tie my basketball shorts and the string broke…I told my coach I needed help but he just ignored me and told me to keep playing. As I was playing my pants fell down. When my coach noticed I eventually had to have them duck taped the shorts to me in order for me to keep playing?  

What’s an item you would like to check off your bucket list in the next year?  

To make the 1000 point club, get up on water skis, or go skydiving. I feel like skydiving would be super scary and I would freak out, yet I have heard its very fun.  

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?   Probably Europe, again. I was there before to play basketball for the People to People Junior Olympics, in the Netherlands.  This time I love to visit Italy or Norway.    

When are your plans next year?  

I am going to the University of Iowa on a full ride basketball scholarship. I am planning to major in Pre-Med with a minor in Spanish. I hope to be either a Pediatrician or Sports Medicine doctor.
