Ron Davidson’s wife, Marty, has lived in memory care at Trails of Orono for 11 months. Davidson says the environment at the senior living community is so comfortable and relaxing – a peaceful quality they have both needed during their 13-year journey with his wife’s memory loss. Davidson said for years he had tried to take care of his wife by himself but that the experience dealing with her memory loss was so arduous that it took a toll on his own health. He needed to make changes affecting both of their lives.
“I deeply value the care Marty receives. I know she is safe, secure and well taken care of,” said Davidson. “I am there nearly all the time and observe the way the staff takes care of her and of others. They are very proactive and call me with any questions or concerns.”
Davidson said both he and his wife are treated so wonderfully and feel so welcomed by everyone.
“Trails of Orono feels so much like home that I like going into the community clubroom myself.”
