Wayzata Police Blotter: July 7 Edition

Wayzata police responded to just under 100 calls for service between June 28 and July 3. Below is a recap of noteworthy activity.

A car window was broken and a purse and contents were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Wayzata Boulevard West on July 2. Total loss was estimated at about $500.

A gas drive off was reported on July 1 at a fueling station on Wayzata Boulevard in Long Lake. Loss was less than $50.

A home on Benton Avenue in Wayzata was reportedly struck by lightning on July 1. Electrical sockets were reportedly blown out, but no fire was ignited.

Four juveniles were cited at 2:30 a.m. on July 1 for violating curfew. Police found the minors on the 1300 block of Wayzata Boulevard East.

Phone wires and a line leading to a gas grill were cut and damage to a parked vehicle was reported at a home on Brown Road North in Long Lake on June 30. Police say the incident is under active investigation.

Damage to a mailbox that police believe was caused by a baseball bat was reported at a home on Lakeview Avenue in Long Lake on June 29. A pair of other mailboxes were also reported damaged on Glenmoor Lane in Long Lake.

Three juveniles were cited for violating curfew after police found them on Lake Street just before 1:30 a.m. on June 28.
