13-Year-Old Dead After Falling Off His Bike In Farmington

Police found the boy at the intersection of Canova Court and 224th Street West around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

FARMINGTON, MN — A 13-year-old boy died Saturday night after falling off his bike in Farmington, police said in a news release.

Police received a call about a boy injured at the intersection of Canova Court and 224th Street West around 8:15 p.m., according to officials.

Upon arriving at the scene, Farmington Police and Fire personnel, along with paramedics, administered emergency aid to the boy, identified as Madden D. McKean of Farmington, but he died at the scene, officials said.

“By all accounts, Madden was an extraordinary young man that touched the lives of everyone he met," Chief of Police Gary Rutherford said in the news release. "Our thoughts are with his family and friends, and anyone else affected by this horrific event."
