• Lakeville Public Safety Foundation gives $31,500 to establish Honor Guard (hometownsource.com) — Lakeville's Public Safety Foundation has awarded a $31,500 grant to the Lakeville Police Department to create and equip a 10-person Honor Guard for ceremonies and memorials. Approved at a City Council meeting, the donation continues the volunteer-run foundation's long record of funding local public safety initiatives supported by community and business contributions.
• Apple Valley teacher wins MNSHAPE award (hometownsource.com) — Lakeville residents will host a statewide celebration when Apple Valley teacher Kristen Blatzheim receives the MNSHAPE Dance Teacher of the Year award at Lakeville South High School on Nov. 8. The ceremony, part of the MNSHAPE State Conference, will honor her inclusive, high-energy dance program that blends artistic expression with students' academic and personal growth.
• County-Wide After Hours & B2B Expo on Nov 12, 2026 (businessdailynetwork.com) — Lakeville business owners and professionals are invited to join chambers from across Dakota County for a county-wide After Hours and B2B Expo on Nov. 12 in Burnsville. The free event features limited vendor booths, networking, food, a cash bar, and prize drawings, while also collecting donations to support local food shelves serving area families.
