Jason D. Ernst, 41, of Lakeville, died unexpectedly Jan. 16, 2012, following a long battle with kidney disease. During his illness, Jason was an inspiration to all as he was never down and always maintained a positive attitude. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to spend time with his family, friends, and his dogs Ruby and Rex. Preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Sylvia Ernst; and mother-in-law, Arlene Prigge. Jason was a loving husband, brother, and uncle to his wife, Celeste; brother, Clayton (Julie); sisters, Angie Hofmann and Bridgett Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Barbara Prigge; brothers-in-law, Kevin and Brandan Prigge; sister-in-law, Candace Prigge; nieces, and nephews, Alexa, Dallen, Jaelie, Connor, Brittany, Zac, Weston, Michala, and Jayce; dear friends, Sean and Juli; and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 6544 16th Ave. S., Richfield. Private interment. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield, and one hour prior to service at church. Memorials preferred to the National Kidney Foundation.
