A local Lakeville woman has recently become a published author.
Nancy Manther, who has lived in Lakeville since 2009, has just self-published her first novel through eBookit.com.
A Charmed Life is a work of fiction that was inspired by the stillbirth of the author's first child in 1982. While there are many self-help books on the subject of stillbirth and infant loss, Manther felt that she could reach more people on the subject through fiction. Stillbirth is a topic with which many people are uncomfortable; no one knows what to do when someone they know is in that situation. Through her novel, Manther is hoping to shed some light on the the difficulties bereaved parents are faced with, thereby helping others know how to offer comfort and support.
