Christina "Chris" DeVito Schmidt, age 58, of Lakeville, MN and formerly of West Orange, NJ, passed away March 21, 2012. Preceded in death by father Albert DeVito. Survived by loving husband, Curt Schmidt; daughter, Stacy Sedita; son, Michael Sedita; brother, Albert DeVito Jr.; mother, Maria Melchionne DeVito; granddaughters, Jasmine and Naomi Sedita-Lott; and numerous other relatives and friends in MN and NJ. Christina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She deeply loved her family, her cats and the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. Open visitation from 4 PM to 8 PM with a brief service at 7:30 PM on Monday, March 26 at White Funeral Home in Apple Valley, MN. Casual dress as Christina would have wanted. A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and Our Lady of Peace Home in St. Paul for their caring and compassionate care of Christina over the past several weeks.
